Must-Do Things in Las Vegas

Must-Do Things in Las Vegas

As of 2023, Las Vegas was ranked as the most popular city to visit in the United States. There’s no shortage of reasons why people travel to this location, ranging from its unique history and warm desert climate.

There are also plenty of ways to keep yourself entertained during your visit. However, it’s essential to make a list of the most notable Las Vegas attractions so you can plan accordingly.

We’ve put together a compilation of the best things to do in Las Vegas to help you make the most of your trip. Let’s explore the key group activities in Las Vegas that you should keep in mind.

Let’s Roam Scavenger Hunt

This is a landmark-based sightseeing tour that allows you to explore the city and identify key points of interest. Not only is it a great way to discover unique attractions you may have otherwise missed, but it’s also ideal for photo opportunities.

There’s a variety of different scavenger hunts to take part in. These range from murder mysteries to bar crawls, and there’s sure to be an ideal event for your group.

Many people find that this scavenger hunt helps them make the most of their visit to the city. For instance, there could be a task that tells you to take a picture in front of a location you would’ve otherwise overlooked. This allows you to enjoy Las Vegas’s hidden gems.

Illuminarium

This attraction aims to provide an unforgettable sensory experience. It achieves this through synchronized laser projections and music. The ground will shake during certain circumstances, and there are even unique scents throughout Illuminarium.

It’s worth noting that you won’t need wearable hardware to immerse yourself in what the facility has to offer. You also don’t have to worry about being disoriented or afraid, as it’s not designed to elicit these reactions. Inclement weather is also a non-issue since the attraction is located indoors.

Lock Down Escape Rooms

Lock Down is located right next to the Las Vegas strip and has countless escape rooms to choose from. A fan favorite involves solving puzzles to escape from Hades in the underworld.

Another strong contender is an escape room where you unlock the ancient secrets of a Mayan temple to find lost treasure. Lock Down hosts team-building events that can accommodate up to 50 people per team. If escape games are your group’s thing, be sure to put Lock Down on your itinerary.

Indoor Skydiving

Most people who want to experience the thrill of skydiving are too afraid to try it. That’s nothing to be ashamed of, as having a fear of heights is fairly common. Indoor skydiving in Las Vegas is an amazing alternative that can allow you to see what it’s like jumping out of a plane thousands of feet in the air.

This activity works by having participants suit up and put on safety gear before being lifted into a wind tunnel that simulates the feeling of falling. This provides a quick adrenaline rush and plenty of chances to take photos of your friends. It’s suitable for children, as well, as you can bring the whole family.

Speed of Dark

This venue is located off the Las Vegas strip and looks like an unassuming mechanic’s garage at first glance. Upon further investigation, visitors will learn that something far more sinister is at play.

This show is a highly unique experience that combines audience participation with street fashion and a dark aesthetic. Experienced dancers and acrobats are sure to keep audiences captivated as the show’s story plays out.

The show will pause briefly during certain segments and allow you to explore the venue and check out various interactive art installations. There are only two shows per night, so be sure to make time to catch one.

AREA15

Many people are unfamiliar with this attraction, but that’s only because it’s relatively new. It’s an experiential entertainment district that boasts live events, art installations, retail stores, and restaurants. It was created to directly compete with the excitement you can find on the Las Vegas strip, albeit with a science fiction twist.

It’ll take a while to explore all the nuances of AREA15, and it’s much more fun to go with a large group. Be sure to book your tickets in advance, though.

Cirque Du Soleil

Las Vegas shows are some of the most unique and captivating in the world. This is especially true regarding Cirque du Soleil, which features a variety of spectacular acts conducted by eccentric performers.

Most productions incorporate a combination of music, visual effects, and acrobatics. This show has been a Las Vegas staple for decades, so many people consider it a historic experience when going for the first time.

The Asylum and Hotel Fear

What better way to add more excitement to your trip than by embarking on a spooky adventure? Many people are unaware that there are numerous haunted houses in Las Vegas you can check out.

One of the most popular is The Asylum and Hotel Fear. The structure was built over a century ago and initially served as a health sanctuary before being converted into a mental hospital.

Visitors will navigate through its dark corridors and aim to uncover the secrets of its morbid history, and the truth is sure to surprise you. It’s not for the faint of heart, and it’s sure to get your adrenaline pumping through its scares and surprises.

Preparing for the Electric Daisy Carnival: What You Need to Know

If you’ve been looking for things to do in Vegas and added the Electric Daisy Carnival to your list, you’re in for a real treat. It’s been a popular event for many years, full of history and cool electric vibes.

You’ll need to start planning now to have the best experience at this event and in Las Vegas overall. If you don’t have a plan yet, don’t worry, it’s easy once you know what to focus on to make it an experience that stands out.

Read on to learn everything you need to know to prepare for the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas!

Electric Daisy Carnival Overview

Your first step is learning more about the Electric Daisy Carnival, commonly referred to as EDC, which is an electronic dance music festival now held annually at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This year the event is scheduled from May 17th-19th.

This music festival typically features electronic dance producers and DJs, and electronic music which includes techno, drum, and bass. You’ll also find plenty of new events and art installations this year, like the expansion of the Pixel Forest display, which is a whimsical land where art and technology collide.

Don’t forget the lineup of fantastic performances that includes talented artists like Zedd, Allison Wonderland, Seven Lions, and hundreds more.

You can also enjoy Hotel EDC, a hotel experience at Resorts World’s Las Vegas Hilton, which includes special event packages that include wellness sessions, concierge service, and more.

What to Know Before You Go

As with all Vegas attractions, it’s essential to know the ins and outs of this event before you arrive. You’ll also need to decide if you’ll visit the festival for just a day, or if you want the entire three-day experience.

Let’s take a closer look at the essential festival details you need to know to get into the festival safely and easily.

Things to Remember

Remember to put your safety first. If you’re going with a group, figure out various meeting points and make sure it’s easy to get into contact so you can stick together during your time.

You’ll want to prepare for rain or shine, and without a doubt, dress for comfort. Comfortable sneakers and lightweight clothing are key. Remember you’ll be walking around the festival for most of the day, and it’s easy to get dehydrated and overheated.

Staying hydrated is crucial, especially when you’re out all day in the heat. You’ll have plenty of hydration stations to choose from and you can get a reusable water bottle at the merch booth.

Hours and Venue

While this may seem like a simple step, if you’re not from Vegas, these details can become overwhelming the closer you get to the event. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is at 7000 N. Las Vegas Blvd. You can check out this map for specific directions.

The opening ceremony is on the first night of the festival, which starts at 5 pm on Friday, May 17th. The festival hours are from 7 pm to 530 am each night of the festival.

Entry and Security

To enter the festival, you must be at least 18, and 21 and over to purchase alcohol. You’ll need a government-issued photo ID like a driver’s license that clearly shows your date of birth. You can also use a passport or a foreign government-issued driver’s license with a color photocopy of your passport.

However, if you have a foreign ID and want to purchase alcohol, you’ll need to show your actual passport at the venue.

Take this time to ensure you have a valid driver’s license that has not expired. The EDC festival will not take any form of ID like:

  • School IDs
  • Birth certificates
  • Expired IDs
  • Temporary IDs
  • Photocopied IDs except as noted above

Overall, if you live in the US, the easiest thing to do is bring a valid driver’s license.

Buying Tickets

Keep in mind that EDC is a popular event and tickets often sell out, so you’ll need to purchase your tickets well in advance. If you plan to attend next year, bookmark the EDC site so you can buy them as soon as they’re available.

You can use credit and debit cards to purchase tickets, and tickets are limited to four per person.

Three-day passes are available and you can also buy packages like the Bottle Service package which gives you access to all the VIP areas in the festival. You can also look at Experience Passes that allow you to explore nine different areas of the festival, including interactive art installations.

Take your time to look through the packages and figure out what works best for you.

Amenities

Amenities are always essential to know about before you arrive. EDC has food and beverage stands as well as mobile food vendors throughout the festival. You can also find vegan and vegetarian options.

You’ll also be able to find plenty of free water stations and samples of various products like hydration sticks. You can pay with credit, debit, Apple Pay, and Android Pay.

Next, if you forget anything at home, you can turn to the Insomniac General Shop, which is stocked with everything from flip-flops to candy.

The festival also has battery charging stations so you can keep your phone powered up. They’re easy to find, you just need to check the festival map.

Discover a New World: The Best Las Vegas Immersive Dining Experience

Discover a New World: The Best Las Vegas Immersive Dining Experience

Discover a New World: The Best Las Vegas Immersive Dining Experience

Despite the great reputation of Las Vegas, it can sometimes be hard to find a truly immersive dining experience in the city. If you are struggling to experience something new, and have only seen the famous sites from TV and movies, it is time to visit AREA15. In this location, one eatery stands out as a place where culinary excellence meets alternate reality.

The Beast transports you into a world where food and fantasy collide and become one. Read on to learn why the location is great for families, couples, and solo adventures, and get ready to explore how it redefines dining.

Immerse Yourself in The Beast

Calling something the “Best Las Vegas Immersive Dining Experience” is a strong statement. We would not say it unless we were sure of it.

The truth, though, is that The Beast is not only a unique experience, it is one of the most appealing venues in the entire city. Even the entrance to the location, a giant cavernous mouth, gives a sense that what you are going to experience is something new.

Inside, the charming and vibrant mood draws you further within the eatery, helping you get in the mood for something very special indeed.

As you progress through your meal, you are likely to have a host of experiences that put you on a path toward true appreciation. As well as the appealing yet fantastical decor, you can expect the meals to delight. As each one is also paired with a perfectly curated cocktail, you might even be able to push yourself into a light buzz too.

Whether you want to visit for the food, the ambiance, or even the sing-at the venue, you are bound to find something to suit you.

Alternate Reality Meets Culinary Excellence

Looking around, somehow, the location feels both decadent and universally appealing at the same time. With its mix of industrial, steampunk, and macabre art, it is hard to know where to look. Wherever your eyes rest, though, you will find something overpowering yet never overwhelming.

Before it opened, the location was already receiving reviews such as:

“Mad Max and Burning Man had a child it would be The Beast.”

“It’s like stepping into a cozy hearth to feast and be merry.”

Honestly, you can’t get much better than that to describe a dining venue. Loosen your belt and prepare yourself for a wondrous experience.

How Every Dish Is an Immersive Dining Experience

In terms of direct immersion, you can allow yourself to feel like one of the cook staff by choosing the right table. Many of the location’s seats have a front-row view of the chefs in action. This makes every table a “Chef’s table,” and they will do everything in their power to entertain you.

So, sit back, relax, and order something for both the entertainment value as well as its taste. After all, you can take in the sights and smells of your meal before it even hits your plate.

The Beast takes this into account when it comes to the food you can order, too. While many locations might use prepared ingredients, chefs make everything in this venue from scratch. Thus, even the use of the location’s simplest ingredients is a whole experience.

The Highlight of Any Visit to AREA15

As The Beast is open all day, you do not need to make it the only thing you do when you visit. After all, you will need to head through AREA15 to get there.

Take your time, enjoy the rest of the venue, and saunter into The Beast at a time that suits you. There is no need to rush. After all, happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday to Thursday or 9 p.m. on other days.

Raising the Bar in Las Vegas Experiences

What would an immersive dining experience be without the dining? While the venue has a lot to offer as a simple piece of art, you will want to return again and again for the meals you can order.

The Beast’s Unique Dining Innovations

The Beast has a wide range of foods. It did start as an experimental food hall, after all, where new culinary experiences could be tried before selling them elsewhere. For this reason, its chefs have a great deal of experience in many different types of food.

While most locations would not be able to keep up with the variety of cuisines on offer, The Beast dodges this trend. Look forward to a bit of everything working together, and get ready to feel envy at the plates of those sitting around you.

Why Immersive Entertainment Is Perfect for Families

Families and couples alike may well find something they enjoy in a venue such as this. For a start, the location is a visual delight. Everyone, young and old, will have a chance to be entertained by the decor and the excitement of seeing a meal prepared.

At the same time, adults can take a breather as younger visitors take in the sights around them. Then, if that fails, the food can keep the little ones’ mouths busy.

For people visiting together, we would recommend the Junk Yard Nachos, with grilled chicken and a classic nacho flavor. if you need something for an extended family, though, try something more extreme you can share. The Succulent Suckling Pig Feast provides an extended family with plenty of food to enjoy for a long time.

Adding The Beast to a Larger Immersive Experience

The adventures one can have in both The Beast and its local area will be at the forefront of your memory for a long time. Regale others with how you felt exploring mazes, enjoying amusement parks, or taking physical challenges to an extreme. AREA15 has something immersive for everyone, no matter your age.

Taming The Beast

Have you ever left a restaurant feeling both satisfied by the food and also exhilarated by the whole experience? The Beast in AREA15 offers that and so much more by offering a way into a world where dining and spectacle become one.

This is not a typical meal but an immersive dining experience that delights the senses. It may well be the destination you make your best memories while in Las Vegas. So, choose a time to visit and learn what it means to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Your seat awaits.

Las Vegas Sightseeing: 4 Places You Must Visit

Las Vegas Sightseeing: 4 Places You Must Visit

Las Vegas Sightseeing: 4 Places You Must Visit

The tourism industry in Las Vegas is rapidly growing and with good reason. 40.4 million people flock there each year to soak up the sights and sites that they’ve seen on TV. If you’re among these lucky visitors, you likely are wondering about the best things to do in Sin City.

Here, we’re going to talk about some things you can’t miss during your Las Vegas sightseeing days. Read on to learn how you can make the most out of your upcoming trip, regardless of your interests.

  1. The Strip: A Las Vegas Sightseeing Staple

When you picture the Vegas skyline, you likely are thinking of the Strip. It’s the 2.5-mile-long central part of Las Vegas Boulevard, which runs through the entire city.

The strip is a great place for sightseeing in part because of the many attractions that line it. You’ll find awesome casinos, clubs, theatres, and fine dining facilities. There are lots of exciting, stimulating, and adrenaline-pumping places that you can pop into.

But you don’t even need to go into a building to get a unique sensory experience. At night, the strip is illuminated in neon lights and signs that draw the eyes and glimmer in every corner. You’ll be able to enjoy an aesthetic that you can’t find anywhere else.

If you dig the vibe of the Strip, you might want to book a hotel on it. There are tons of big resorts that you’ll love to stay at, and many of them are tied to the casinos that you’ll find in the city. This means that you can keep gambling and partying all night long.

  1. Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace is one of the most prolific casinos in Vegas, and with good reason. It includes a luxury hotel with fine dining restaurants, including those run by the legendary Gordon Ramsay. There are also tons of specialty shops from both big-name luxury brands and family-run stores.

Caesar’s Palace is home to Caesar’s Forum, one of the best casinos out there. It’s been operating since the 1960s, making it one of the oldest casino venues in Vegas. You’ll be able to play games like roulette, craps, blackjack, baccarat, pai gow, and poker with other visitors so that you can get the adrenaline rush that you crave on your Las Vegas vacation.

You also can enjoy tons of reel slot machines and video poker games. This is great no matter how much money you have since the machines take bets between one cent and $500. Plus, the gorgeous architecture of the building creates an ambiance that you’ll feel comfortable betting in.

There are also lots of nightlife locations in Caesar’s Palace when you want to take a break from the gaming tables. Omnia Nightclub is a big one for those who want to party while the Colosseum Venue frequently hosts big musical artists like Adele. You can drink and dance the night away while enjoying the company of friends, family, and beautiful strangers.

Of course, there are many awesome places to drink in Las Vegas, but you might as well try them all!

  1. Cirque du Soleil Shows

Cirque du Soleil is the most famous circus show in the world. It operates in 450 million cities worldwide on every continent besides Antarctica.

Vegas is one of the most popular locations for people to see them because there are six different Cirque shoes across Vegas. They’re all inside casinos along the Strip, which makes them easily accessible for anyone looking to spruce up their Las Vegas vacation.

Cirque du Soleil is a memorable experience in large part because of its costumes. It’s art, and the performers know it. They aim to showcase the ways that the body can become a tool for art and storytelling.

This means that there are tons of performers who showcase acrobatic feats that you won’t see anywhere else. From trapeze artists to gymnastics experts, you won’t be able to look away from the show. The interesting lighting, fog machines, and fireworks also add an air of mystique that you’re sure to enjoy.

This takes anywhere between two hours and half a day, but it’s well worth it. There will be tons of time for gambling, live events, and other immersive experiences later.

  1. Area15’s Otherworldly Experiences

However, not all amazing experiences can be grounded completely in reality. If you don’t embrace virtual experiences and otherworldly immersion, you miss out on a lot of experiences that you could remember for a lifetime.

Area15 is one of the coolest things to do in Vegas partly because of our cinematic immersion experiences. These are basically 3D movies that you can explore from within. You can journey to the moon with real footage from the James Webb space telescope and wander around to view all of the night sky, craters, and more.

You can also enter the wild with a safari experience that puts you close to exotic animals. The ambiance of Africa will surround you, and you’ll experience real and authentic sounds and scents. Whether you want to virtually visit Kenya, Tanzania, or South Africa, there’s a fun, immersive experience available for you.

Area15 also offers virtual reality experiences that you can immerse yourself in. Birdly lets you mimic an avian experience and feel as though you’re flying over the city. This is one of our favorite attractions because it’s unlike any other vantage point.

You can also zip line, duel with axes, and play tons of great video arcade games. Pair this with our delicious food and drink options, and you’re completely set for an amazing night.
