Founded in Muscle Shoals, AL, in 2004 by Zion Rock Godchaux, BoomBox has evolved alongside a global fan base. Their signature groove is a backbeat-driven style with smooth vocals and original lyrics, drawing from diverse genres to create a unique sound. “The sound is about pulling from anything you’d hear coming out of a boombox,” says Godchaux.
Godchaux highlights the unique chemistry between brothers playing music together. BoomBox’s shows blend drum machines and live-mixed computer beats from MacKay with Godchaux’s electric guitar riffs and soulful vocals.
