About Shane Mauss

In 2016, science podcaster, mental health advocate, and award-winning stand-up comedian Shane Mauss (Conan, Kimmel, Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, Showtime) partnered with MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies) and embarked on an epic, sold-out 111-city psychedelic comedy tour ‘A Good Trip.’ Along the way, a film crew followed him, making the documentary ‘Psychonautics: A Comic’s Exploration of Psychedelics’. Since then, Shane’s ability to articulate the most mysterious of altered states in thoughtful and hilarious ways has made him the most viewed storyteller on Comedy Central’s ‘Tales From the Trip’, a regular at psychedelic conferences, and has gained him a global audience of psychedelic enthusiasts. Now Shane brings his latest work ‘A Better Trip’ to AREA15! A hilarious and thoughtful show about how to have a better psychedelic experience and MORE IMPORTANTLY what psychedelic experiences might teach us about having a better trip through existence.

ABOUT THE VISUALS

Michael Strauss is a VJ, digital artist, and event producer who has been crafting psychedelic audiovisual experiences, and immersive environments, for nearly 20-years. In collaboration with other visionary artists, Michael will be adding planned and improved visuals to heighten atmosphere, fun, and a deeper connection to the descriptions of experiences.

Grant Lindahl is the creator of the award-winning Comedy Central animated series, “Tales from the Trip,” and has been animating Shane’s psychedelic stories for years. He is one of several artists being announced to contribute to the show.
