The art at AREA15 is always evolving. We’re constantly on the hunt for visionary artists and groundbreaking works to bring back to Las Vegas, making AREA15 a living gallery of limitless creativity.
Art: Cloned Bulldog with Pet Bottle
Artist: William Sweetlove
The two statues serve as guardians of AREA15’s main entrance. Standing at nearly eight feet tall, the two vibrant red bulldog statues are made from recycled plastic. Through repurposing recycled plastic materials in his artwork, Sweetlove encourages viewers to contemplate the copious amounts of plastic in the world and the need to dispose of these materials correctly to create waste-free oceans.
Around Every Corner, Another Wow.
Art is everywhere at AREA15 – inside and out. Suspended from ceilings, glowing along walls, and towering in unexpected places. Monumental pieces created for the curious. It’s a gallery like no other — part playground, part museum, and completely your own.
Art: Dream Portal
Artist: Davis McCarty
Inspired by building a future without limits and creating a grand an eye-catching entrance. The piece’s reflections add touches of magic, making viewers feel like they are in a different place – a true world of wonder.
Art: Drishti
Artist: Kirsten Berg
Inspired by a Sanskrit philosophical phrase, “Drishti, Srishti” means “As is your vision, so is your universe” or “How you behold, is what you unfold.” Shimmering in mirrored steel, Drishti’s elegantly arcing angles sweep the viewer’s gaze upward.
Art: Emergence
Artist: Michael Benisty
Paying homage to the beauty of feminine divine. The strength and essence of women spans culturally for thousands of years, their energy and bodies set forever in stone and paint. Blissful, angelic, warriors and guardians of love and light. Forces to be reckoned with, like the sun, they always rise, like the moon, alluring in the shadows.
Art: Infinity Ship No. 1: Perception
Artist: Matt Elson
A shipping container reimagined as a kaleidoscopic glimpse into the infinite, this is more than just a killer photo op. It alters perception of reality and changes the way you see the world. Infinity Ships will sometimes come together to create full villages of art and reflection and other times will be mere ships passing in the night.
Art: Flux Capacitor
Artist: Henry Chang Design
This towering, otherworldly mobile creation feels like it drove straight out of a science fiction dream state. Its intricate design and larger-than-life presence captivate every onlooker, ensuring it leaves a lasting impression wherever it goes. A true symbol of innovation and imagination. This street legal vehicle isn’t just an art car—it’s a spectacle.
Art: Las Vegas Sign
Artist: AREA15
Taking inspiration from the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, this piece greets visitors upon their arrival at AREA15. The sign highlights AREA15’s signature portal and other elements found throughout the immersive entertainment complex.
Art: Mechan 9
Artist: Tyler Fuqua Creations
A massive robot half-buried in the desert floor, Mechan 9 is a relic from another era—but is it the past or the future? Close examination of its surface reveals secret hatches and mysterious text, heretofore unknown to any scholar. Are they pure decoration or clues into its mysterious origins?
Art: Shogyo Mujo
Artist: Bart Kresa Studio and Josh Harker
As a flagship installation at the entrance of AREA15, the Shogyo Mujo skull serves as the visual centrepiece and sets the stage. The creation’s name reflects Buddhist tradition, representing the first of the three marks of Dharma, which state that all things are impermanent. It was first presented at Burning Man in 2014.
Art: Valyrian Steel
Artist: Henry Chang Design
Part Mad Max and part Mars Rover, Valyrian Steel is a kinetic “art car” originally built for Burning Man and now parked at AREA15. Described as an art supernova on wheels, this art car is street legal and a shining example of Henry Chang’s dedication to engineering as art.
